FIRST=>:
Setup school account on Apple School
- Login to Apple School (school.apple.com)
- Add school Location under Locations
- Add Device management Service
- Click User profile on the sidebar and select Preferences
- Next to the device management service click the '+' symbol
- Ensure you tick: 'Allow this device management service to release device'
- Upload the exported public key from intune (Refer to: How to download the public key from intune)
- Download the service token key after saving and import to intune server token (Refer: How to upload the service token to intune)

Download Apple Configurator and set it up
- Download from apps store
- Sign in with the apple school account
- Click the gear icon on the button left
- Leave the share Wifi Ticked
- Select Specific and choose the school to enrol the devices on
- The app is ready to scan the ipads on setup screen

How to Download the Public Key from Intune
- Sign in to the Microsoft Intune admin center.
- Go to Devices > Device onboarding > Enrollment.
- Select the Apple mobile tab, then click Enrollment program tokens.
- Click Create.
- Check the box to agree to grant Microsoft permission to send data to Apple.
- Click Download your public key and save the
.pemfile to your computer. - Note: Keep the Intune admin center tab open; you will need to return to it shortly.
How to upload the Service Token to Intune
- Return to the open browser tab with the Intune admin center.
- In the Apple ID field, enter the Apple ID you used to sign in to Apple School Manager.
- Click the folder icon to browse, select the
.p7mserver token you just downloaded from Apple, and click Open. - Click Create.
Intune will now sync with Apple School Manager and allow you to assign profiles and manage your school's Apple devices

Link Your VPP Token to Intune
- Download from Apple: Log into Apple School Manager, click your name at the bottom left, go to Preferences > Payments and Bills, and download the VPP token for your location.
- Upload to Intune: Open the Microsoft Intune admin center, navigate to Tenant administration > Connectors and tokens > Apple VPP tokens, click Create, and upload the
.vpptokenfile. - Sync: Once uploaded, your purchased apps will automatically appear in Intune under Apps > iOS/iPadOS or macOS.

Start the ipad setup
Start the ipad setup
- Turn on the ipad
- Follow the prompt to get to the Wifi selection.
- Make sure the apple configurator app is opened
- The ipad will pop up the scannable dots.
- Scan with the configurator app
- After successful joining, the ipad will prompt to erase ipad
- After ipad restart proceed and join the school network.
- Follow the prompts and should land to the home page
